The certificate presentation of the GIS/RS training course was held on the 10th of January 2008. To emphasis the importance of the training and the collaboration of the Boston University Center for Remote Sensing with the Space Technology Center Computer Man College, Prof. Dr. Farouk Elbaz personally presented the certificates that were issued by the BU,CRS to the participants who completed the training.

The function was attended by the Interior Minister, Prof. Dr. Zubeir Bashir Taha, Heads of Depatment of the participants that include Prof. Abdelrazig Ahmed, the Director General of the Geological Research Authority of Sudan, The college President and senior staff member of the College. The two week training Program was conducted by Dr. Eman Ghoneim and Dr. Abdelgadir Abuelgasim, Senior Reseachers with the BU,CRS.

A dinner was held by the College President Dr. Abubaker Mustafa , in honour of the Dr. Abdelgadir Abuelgasim and Dr. Eman Ghoneim. The two senior research experts from the Boston University, Center for Remote Sensing were in Computer Man College to conduct a two week intensive GIS and Remote Sensing training.
